every plan, every family

your whole household,
working together.

The same planner whichever plan you pick. Nothing here is an add-on.

your family's own encryption key

Household content encrypted with a key unique to your family and stored in Australia. Destroying that key makes the encrypted content unreadable.

one screen for the whole family

Everyone's day side by side, colour-coded per person, readable from across the kitchen. Big touch targets, because this gets used with floury hands.

Google Calendar and Apple iCloud

Sync both ways on wall and phone. Connect Google in one click; follow guided iCloud setup with an app-specific password. Day, week and month views, plus ICS feeds.

to-dos everyone can share

Drag-and-drop boards, shared assignments, due dates and recurring tasks. Stars for completed to-dos are optional and off by default.

chores worth doing

Assign chores to one child or several, with optional parent approval. Kids earn stars, build streaks, claim one-off bounty jobs and save towards a goal they picked themselves.

two mini-games to earn

A parent approving a chore banks a game credit. Children see and claim their credits on their own device for two short, single-life mini-games.

dinner, decided

A weekly dinner planner and recipe box with steps, servings and metric quantities. Start with 20 Australian family dinners and add recipe ingredients to the shopping list.

lists anyone can tick

Shopping lists with checkboxes big enough for a seven-year-old to hit on the way past.

a photo frame when nobody's looking

Upload family photos for an idle slideshow with clock, weather and upcoming events. It locks the session and wakes to the profile picker.

profiles, and an optional parent PIN

Tap a face to switch. Children get a personalised Today screen and individual permissions. An optional parent PIN protects grown-up controls.

notifications on the go

Push notifications on Android and desktop, and on iPhone once you add tend & tally to your Home Screen.

two-factor account protection

Account sign-in requires a password and a time-based code from an authenticator app. Email verification and password reset are included.

a look that feels like home

Choose a theme in Appearance settings. The sunny theme welcomes every new family.

before you ask

the usual questions.

What sort of tablet do I need?

Any iPad or Android tablet from the last few years, stood up or mounted in landscape. tend & tally runs in the tablet's web browser, so there is nothing to side-load, and it works on a phone or a computer too.

Does everybody need their own subscription?

No. One price covers the whole household — both parents, every child and every screen. Each person gets their own profile on the wall tablet, with their own colour.

Which calendars does it sync with?

Google Calendar and Apple iCloud, both ways. Change something on the wall and it reaches the phone; change it on the phone and it reaches the wall. You can also subscribe to the family calendar from anything that reads an ICS feed.

Where is our family's information kept?

In Australia. Your household content is encrypted with a key unique to your family, and the backups are not copied to another country. We do not sell your information and there is no advertising anywhere in the product.

Can the children change things they should not?

Only what you let them. Parent settings sit behind a PIN, and each child has their own permission switches. Chores can need a grown-up's approval before the stars are paid.

Will it tell me when something changes?

Yes — tend & tally can send notifications on Android, on desktop, and on iPhone once you add it to the Home Screen. Apple only allows web notifications to a home-screened site, so that one step is yours to do.

a little less to keep in your head
